Senior Electrical Engineer for Rostock-Laage (IoT)

The Company:

PTS is a German new-space company whose aim is to democratize the access to space and bring down the cost of space exploration. We are keen to develop the infrastructure required for future settlement on the Moon and beyond. Together with German Airways and Rostock-Laage-Güstrow Airport, we form the aerospace division of the Zeitfracht Group. Rostock Airport is a significant hub in the heart of Europe and will be the home of our new IoT Logistics division, where our terrestrial Container Logistics and Asset Monitoring system, a highly reliable fleet utilization management solution for land and last-mile services, is developed.

Your Tasks

• Develop and produce electrical systems for logistic solutions
  • Prepare and iterate designs (specification, part selection, schematics, layout)
  • Support in setting up of production facility
  • Interact with PCB manufacturers/assemblers
  • Define and execute post-production tests
  • C, C++, Python experiences
• Verify PCB designs
  • Analyse and test against requirements/specifications (preparation and execution)
  • Perform quality assurance in products produced by industry partners
  • Interact with test facility providers
  • Document results
• Onboard Computer integration into IoT logistic solutions including
  • GPS or GNSS implementation
  • Sensor implementation
  • Telemetry management
  • Data analysis
  • I2C, UART, SPI knowledge

Your Profile

• At least 5 years experience in electronics, ideally in the logistic or automotive sector
• PCB development background with focus on design and verification
  • Preferably experience with KiCad
• Experience with the manufacturing and testing of prototypes

• Good ability to work as a team, reliability, flexibility and commitment
• Good English speaking and writing skills
• German speaking and writing skills
